About Vicky's Pet Connection
Vicky’s Pet Connection, established in 1998, is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing, caring for and placing homeless and abandoned pets in our community. A primary focus of our mission is spay/neuter advocacy, low/no cost spay/neuter initiatives and assisting our local shelters through adoption assistance and promotion.
VPC is a “Guaranteed Placement” program. Every animal that enters our program is given medical attention, social interaction, behavior assistance and TLC until a loving forever home is found. We accomplish this through a network of experienced foster homes and small, on-site kennel facilities.
We are a grass-roots organization run entirely by volunteers and 100% of our revenue is put directly back into our programs to help the animals.
All of our funding is obtained through private donations, adoption fees and fundraising efforts.
The animals in our program come to us from area shelters, often in dire circumstances. Whether in danger of euthanasia because of overcrowding, or in need of special care due to an injury or illness, pregnancy, or stress, these animals find love and refuge in our care and ultimately, a new loving home.
2011 brings us to over 11,000 lives saved directly through rescue and adoption and tens-of-thousands indirectly with our aggressive spay/neuter initiatives, including our successful “Inner City Kitties” and “Pit Bull Express” community programs.
VPC is also dedicated to helping those animals most at risk. Senior animals abandoned at shelters and animals requiring special veterinary assistance are often written off as unadoptable and never make it out of the shelter. Thanks to specially funded VPC programs like “Golden Paws” and “Buddy’s Big Fix Fund” these wonderful companions are given a second chance at life, and often give back so much more than we can ever give them.

Through our collaborative relationships with organizations and individuals, Vicky’s Pet Connection is making our community a better place for animals.
